The class usually meets every Monday evening during term time at 6.30pm and is for members of The Buddhist Society only.
Those attending are encouraged to have attended the Introducing Buddhism Course or equivalent.
The class is led by Martin Evans and Randula Haththotuwa, experienced lay teachers associated with Amaravati, under the auspices of senior nuns from the Thai Forest tradition of Ajahn Chah. The main focus of the classes will be an exploration of the Theravada teachings with particular emphasis on their application in daily life. The class begins with a short chant and determining the Three Refuges and Five Precepts, followed by a guided meditation, a short talk and questions and answers.
