Both membership of the Society and subscription to The Middle Way are for one year.

You can also apply to become a member or apply to renew your membership by using our online form. Please note that payment is not a guarantee of membership or renewal. Members are approved by Council.
All payments should be made in Sterling. If local currency / cheques are sent in lieu, please add the equivalent of £ 8.00 to cover bank exchange charges.
Signing the gift aid declaration on the form will enable The Buddhist Society to reclaim the tax you pay on your membership subscriptions and donations. This will increase the value of your contribution to The Buddhist Society by 25% and will cost you nothing.
You must pay an amount of UK Income Tax and / or Capital Gains Tax at least equal to the tax that The Buddhist Society reclaims on your subscriptions and donations (currently 25p for each £1 you give). If in the future your circumstances change and you no longer pay income tax and / or capital gains tax equal to the tax The Buddhist Society reclaims, you can cancel your declaration. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self Assessment tax return.

As with other similar organizations the Buddhist Society, a Registered Charity, is in constant need of funds in order to be able to function and to continue its work in promoting its Objects.
In addition to providing for its own varied programme, its publishing activities and other projects and events, it has from time to time responded to the expressed needs of other Buddhist organizations. Dana (donations) are gratefully received.

Please note that Charities Aid Foundation vouchers may only be accepted for the purpose of donation, not in payment of membership fees.
If you wish, you can subscribe to The Middle Way without becoming a member of the Society.
