Robert Alexander Thurman is an author, scholar, translator and editor of Tibetan Buddhism. He was educated at Harvard. His publications are numerous and only a few are listed here and they include: The Central Philosophy of Tibet, published by Princeton University

He is a co-founder of Tibet House in New York and received many international awards for his contributions to literature.
